1. Register Your Club:
New for 2010 the Texas High School Cycling League has registered as an individual club with USA Cycling. In order to be deemed an “official” league member club all high school clubs will need to join the league as a separate “team” on our USA Cycling club. By registering as a separate team you will be allowed to have your own officers, name, uniform, and everything else that USA Cycling clubs have but by being a separate team under the Texas High School Cycling League club you will now have the added benefits of being eligible for deals worked out by the league and many other things.
Moving to this model where each h.s. club registers as a team under the H.S. League club offers the below benefits among others
- Saves money!
- Instead of each club paying USAC the $50 club membership fee the league pays a single fee for all teams listed as teams under the league banner (“club”)
- Instead of each team purchasing additional insurance coverage the league can purchase it and it will cover all official clubs listed as separate teams under the h.s. league USAC club.
- We combine our numbers and visibility within USA Cycling!
- Increase our clout when calling attention to h.s. specific issues
- Makes the league eligible and more competitive for grant money and awards based on junior development and programing
- Will make your club eligible to receive discounts from league sponsors
- Allows the league to be more of a services oriented central clearing house for h.s. clubs
- Each team retains all the same benefits and services from USA Cycling that they currently have as a single individually registered USAC Club
So, if you have not already registered your club for 2010 with USA Cycling please do the following.
- E-mail me, the following: Current/Previous USAC Club Name: Desired Club Name: Club President: E-mail: Schools/Districts in your club:
If you have already registered your club with USAC for the 2010 season please e-mail me to tell me so I know for my records.
2. Purchasing Racer Licenses
