1. Register Your Club:
New for 2010 the Texas High School Cycling League has registered as an individual club with USA Cycling. In order to be deemed an “official” league member club all high school clubs will need to join the league as a separate “team” on our USA Cycling club. By registering as a separate team you will be allowed to have your own officers, name, uniform, and everything else that USA Cycling clubs have but by being a separate team under the Texas High School Cycling League club you will now have the added benefits of being eligible for deals worked out by the league and many other things.
Moving to this model where each h.s. club registers as a team under the H.S. League club offers the below benefits among others
So, if you have not already registered your club for 2010 with USA Cycling please do the following.
If you have already registered your club with USAC for the 2010 season please e-mail me to tell me so I know for my records.
2. Purchasing Racer Licenses
All racers must purchase a USA Cycling race license in order to participate in any races. This should be done so ASAP AFTER your team/club has registered with both the league (through me) and USA Cycling so that they have it in hand by the time race season rolls around.
3. Race Schedule
The race schedule is set so put these dates on your calendars and plan to attend. Specific information about each race will be e-mailed out to this group, posted to the league website, and in the TXBRA “H.S. Cycling” discussion forum as soon as I get it from the race organizers.
